Our team at Child’s Play Preschool / Afterschool aim to provide all children with quality care in a homely, safe and stimulating environment making Childs Play a place for living, learning and growing up in. We appreciate that every child is an individual with their own likes and dislikes and together, with our parents, we bring our vision to reality.

The principle behind our Partnership with Parents and Carers Policy is taken from the Policy for Early Years Provision in NI (1994) which states that: “Parents are the first educators of their children and should be involved at all stages in their education and development”.

At Child’s Play, we recognise the importance of keeping in contact with parents in order to meet the needs of each individual child most effectively. Parents are the most knowledgeable people about their children and are their first and most influential educators. Children will be more likely to benefit from their time at Child’s Play when staff and parents work in partnership. 

At Childs Play we believe that the inclusion of children with additional needs can be an enriching experience for the child, other children, staff and parents / carers. Staff are trained to support the individual needs of all children. 

We are keen to cater for children with disabilities and medical conditions. Each individual case will be given full consideration after consultation between parents, staff and management.
